This philosophical question is very apt in today’s environment. If employees are not working together in the physical workplace, are they still working?

Before Covid-19’s Business Continuity Plans, most bosses believe that when employees are absent, they are not working.

This was the idea that your input (how many hours you were seen to be putting in) had a direct relationship to your output (the work you produced).

For centuries, some organizations have been operating far from operating base and home without the need for someone to constantly watch over their back.
